Secretariat

Purpose

The Secretariat is the backbone organization of the Block by Block Community Safety and Wellbeing Initiative.

Operations

The Secretariat operates out of 510 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Funding for operations is provided by Justice.

Team Staffing & Structure

The Secretariat is led by the Executive Director. The Winnipeg Police Service provides an officer to work within the project on a full time basis. All other staff are seconded by partnering government departments or hired with existing operating funds on a contractual basis.

Accountability

The Executive Director reports directly to the Executive Team of the Leadership Table. The Executive Team delegates day to day operating decisions to the Block by Block Executive Director providing decisions made are within the approved budget and achieve the objectives of the Block by Block Initiative and projects as outlined in the Governing Document.
